    hang on, just been reading through this and now im confused. the plan i had was to buy a 1.0 and dump 1.3 crank and cams in, but now it seems that wouldnt work? id need to fit 1.3 rods in too?

    this is annoying, ive got a prefacelift 1.0 flywheel here that i lightened down to 5kgs ish and sandblasted. could have sold you it if id seen this thread

    this was my plan, i cant see any reason why it wouldnt be a resonable method, tho getting those pistons back in through the bottom of the engine would be a messy job lol, plenty of hands needed there id say.

    i shouldn't think so, I've removed the tensioner when i changed the cams in my old car and it has quite a lot of travel on it.

    i think the rods are all interchangeable, but the 1.4 has a wider bore, so you'd have to do a ebb style piston weld job for flat tops.

    oh man my head hurts now lol. ok that clears that up. what sort of compression ratio and power hike does the 1.0 pistons and rods/1.3 crank give?

    thats what i mean, the 1.0 has a shorter block, so starting with a 1.0 would give a higher comp than the same pistons and crank in the 1.3? also, if i have 1.3 crank and cams in a 1.0 block, will the pistons and valves have a fight at like 9500 rpm lol?
