3 clips along the front, I just tend to put a big flat blade screw driver in close to the clip and lever the seat up over..... does the trick.

Ya hooooo .... Micra is fixed.......no more misfiring / fuel starvation.......changed the fuel pump tonight and hey presto its running sweet as a nut..... Wasnt bad to get out, one clip underneath, lift it up...push pump back over of its guide rails, unclip the sendor arm and pull it all out.(Y)

Me again..... I need to remove my Fuel pump,(its the later smaller diameter one) How do you get the thing out ?? (Oh, I`m into the tank ok, I`m just unsure how it comes out) Your assistance is appreciated !

I think thats thr earlier type..... the later one doesnt have those clips ( at least I couldnt see them)

Cheers Frank..... the link you posted explains they changed 96 ish to the smaller type....the one I got from the scrappy is an earlier type ( bigger dia) So how do I get the later one out ??.... the earlier one looks a doddle to get out...

Still having problems with my lads 1.0 .... I thought I had found the problem with the hesitation / lack of power when I changed the fuel filter. It went from dead to fixed instantly!! However...... it runs great for 3-4 miles then it misfires, losing power at about 2-3K rpm. Switch of engine...

OK.... bad news..... good news, Well, asked a local mechanic who did a diagnostic check,result all ok but Lambda possibly suspect, he wasnt 100% tho...... so got a universal one £30...... and guess what no change:down: So, tonight, off with dizzy cap cleaned with wd40.........no change...

Sadly it didnt work..... however an interesting little task, which went well when following the above procedure. So..... back to the Lamda valve.........what in past experience is the bet way to remove this beasty.....dont fancy risking an open ended spanner, but cant see any other way due...
