Im pretty sure the speed sensor is still attched on mine. That might be the thing I remember reading about but then forgot about doing. :S Can't say i've noticed any lean issues in 4th / 5th mind. Been ages since i've looked at any map data.

lol, if it goes anywhere it'll be in parts. :D I'd really like the opportunity to use it as a track only car, but i don't think thats really economically viable.

Been a few months since you posted, apologies for that guys, didn't ignore you both on purpose. Can't believe how quick the years have passed. Car is still in my possession and is still in one piece, but hasn't been driven for a while and at the moment is waiting for me to make a decision on...

I would assume so long as you match the voltage ranges the cluster shouldn't care less in most cases as they are mainly on/off signals, fuel gauge its the tank float that'd need to match. Rev counter, i'd check the wiring diagram. :)

Having seen some of the things they get up to, i'm not sure it's all 100% legal. (from someone who's never worked in the industry). Oh how i hate going through the list..."does the car have any modifications" "...yeah, how long you got". But yeah insurance makes no sense.

I think there is a certain torque mentioned, but i always just nip them up. It's the rubber seal that's doing the main job anyway.
