Got some welding done on the passenger sill last night, and failed it's MOT tonight.
Rear seatbelt anchors corroded were one of the failing points strangely considering I saw them all when it was in its van stage a couple of months ago...
Anyway £190 later and i'll have her back tomorrow!
Sills, if they look a bit rusty from the outside chances are they're completely rotten! Heard a few people having issues with rear seatbelt mounting points too.
Can only talk from experience but I haven't noticed any difference in fuel consumption. Nice induction noise and a negligible power gain are the only effects I can report!
Hi guys, just come across this on autotrader http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201506184422392
I'd get it for myself as it's in my area but saving for a house is stopping me :( Looks like a good little steal though!
Thanks for the reply :)
I'll have a look for these grommets tonight, having to flick the switch quickly to just wipe the window without the dribble is getting old!
Afternoon guys/girls,
Got an issue to pick your brains on...
Somewhere in my boot door the washer jet pipe has torn/come off so when I try to wash the rear window instead of coming out of the boot it drips down all over my parcel shelf.
How do I get inside the boot door to see what's going on...
Newest maintenance: stripped down wiper linkage, free'd it all up and regreased. No more squeaking and juddering!
Rotated wheels front to back, found rust in rear drivers arch, cleaned all that up and undercoated.
Shedded the wheel trims in favour of the rough and ready steelie look :D
Still...
Fitted an eBay remote locking kit, bit of a pig getting the wiring through on the passenger door though!
Not having my mrs moan waiting for me to let her in each time made it all worthwhile though :D
