Some of these experienced timing chain problems which stretched ( Renault) You have to remove sump on these which is a pain because gear box stops it removing !! Therefore need to move lossen gearbox to improve access.

You can check sensor with multimeter will try and post instructions if I remember this version sensor is connected to ecu then from ecu to instrument

Have you tried clearing sensor? Sometimes pick up debris/dirt
