out of interest your not using rubber braided hose are you?
if you are expect problems with fuel fumes in the car which will make you feel sick on stage.
i would reccomend ptfe lines, more expensive but worth it.
Braided
Fuel -6 (Dash 6)
Brake -3(Dash 3)
Dont scrimp use PTFE or you will get a strong fuel smell in the car and the brake will give better (less) volumetric expansion so a moreolid feel at the pedal.
Cheers
Hi i purchased a K11 today with the same problem.
Eventually traced the probmen to a bad connection on a relay (bottom one) on the right of the fuze box.
Hope you get your's sorted
Hi Frank, i'm just building a new engine CGA block and pistons and a CG head. Any idea how much to skim off the head to get around 11.5 : 1 CR ?
Cheers Steve
Hi i removed the head off a CGA 1.4 today.
I looks as brand new no signs of wear.
I only need the block for my rally car to fit a CG head with distributor so the CGA head is surplus to requirements.
If anyone needs a head feel free to get in touch.
Cheers Steve
Thanks for the info.
Just managed to source a low mileage CGA engine so going to pick it up tonight.
I have some cams so will put those in first and see what it's like.
Does £75 for it sound ok for a CGA?
Cheers Steve
Thanks Frank
But it was the QG15DE crank i was looking at replacing the GA crank, do you know what's longer? I see the main bearings are the same size and the crank seals also (cant find the big end sizes).
I dont know if the cranks line up or what is spaced differently.
Cheers Steve
Hi all i see this is an old thread but did anyone have any luck with this? I'm thinking of doing something to try and get close to 1400cc for my rally micra (up to 1400 class).
I calculated if you use a almera 1500 cc crank with stroke of 88mm it gives you 1396cc........but does it fit?
anyone...
