Ive used Halfords paint followed by Halfords lacquer on my heat shield with no problems. Im can't remember whether i used Halfords primer on it aswell. Before you ask, no I don't work at Halfords.

I have looked, my 97 GX has only got an additional plug for driver side fog light and hasn't got any of the wires for electric window (that i can see) so i wondered if the prefacelifts were different. Could it possibly be that each model has a different loom based on its options i.e. an GX...

Hi all, I have read somewhere that the facelifts have a complete wiring loom for every accessory even if the accessory wasnt included in the car. Is this true? All the best

The belts are different, the air con belt is longer. You will also need the tensioner for the air con belt as the alternator bracket doesn't have one built in.

Hmmm the only thing i can think of back there would be for the air conditioning switch.

It would be the top one. It is in mine anyway.

Hey. I'm currently retro fitting air con into my car. So far everything has gone in easily, bolt holes were there should be etc. Hhowever, while trying to attach the receiver/dryer I discovered there wasn't any holes for the bolts. Am I right in thinking it should attach on the passengers...
