Anyone got a 1 litre crank pulley they are selling? The solid one.
I was getting mine machined into trigger wheel and it jumped round on the mandrel and it's knackered.
It's a fair bit of work to modify an exhaust manifold. New flange and cut and shut the y junctions to get the spacing correct. If your looking at stainless then you need to be able to TIG weld and it's best to flow argon up the tubes while you are welding.
Bike headers tend to be paired...
Cheers but the harness and units are all off the Micra and loosely fitted to the mini.
I found some pdf files for Workshop manuals that have comprehensive wiring diagrams. Much better than the Heynes manual.
I'm having a problem with my wiring loom (Micra engine going into a Mini and I'm using the Micra loom). My engine and loom are from a Mystique so have all the toys, most of which I don't need!
I do want to keep the central locking but I am struggling trying to work out the wiring to the two...
Cheers. I'll give that a try.
Not sure what you mean by 'base timing mode'. Is it just unplug the tps and raise the rpm?
Engine is fitted in a mini and has not been run for 3 years so just getting there slowly!
Is there any way to set the distributor to an initial setting before the engine is started?
Mine has been off and the marks I made can't be seen as I painted the block.
I used to do static timing on the mini as it had points and was easy!
I have a multimeter and a strobe light so must be able to...
You have to hold them at exactly the right angle (as it appears on the car). There is a small pendulum mechanism that locks it up.
You can take the side cover off to see this but make sure you get it right. If you take the spring cover off and it flys off then it's almost impossible to put it...
I saw them a while back and as far as I could make out they are a Megasquirt knock off. Couldn't find anyone that had used one.
I am favouring Nistune when I eventually upgrade as the wiring will be easier and I won't need a trigger wheel. Don't know if nistune works with ITBs. And it's a...

I put a saw drift in mine and used a sash clamp. Yours looks much closer. If I was doing mine again I think I would heat it and bend it as welding the branch back up was a pain.
Also worth bolting to a BIG chunk of steel to stop the flange bending. I didn't and had to use a press to get it...
That's a good idea. I was lucky enough to get a one piece one CNC milled in stainless.
It still bent when I TIG welded it but I managed to straighten it on the press.
