It's base model no air con but has power steering Yr 2000 it's the alternator belt attached to first pulley

Hi all Have intermittent problem with the clutch .!! On pulling away the clutch pedal is fully out and revs are ok but it kangaroos down the road so I stop pull away again and it's fine .? Is this a sign on these motors that the clutch is on its way out ? Regards Don
