As an addition to my original post the fuel pump in the attached image looks a lot more like the one that's currently in my tank. With the single electrical connection and the fuel connection top middle.

I bought a new fuel pump for my 2001 K11 (60bhp coilpack) Micra and I've got a feeling it's the wrong one. I don't have the existing pump out of the fuel tank yet but the new one looks way too 'fat' to fit in the aperture that it needs to go in in the fuel collector unit. Also the connectors...

Does anyone know what the pipe circled in red is? The car is a K11 Micra 1.0l (coilpack version). One end is connected on the top of the gearbox and the other is unconnected as shown in the image. I was wondering if it had come from the free pipe (circled in green) on the evap. emissions...

Hi There's an odd hissing sound coming from under the rear seats of my K11 (2000/01) Micra. It almost sounds like radio static but I'm guessing it's coming from the fuel pump. The car starts first time, seems to be running ok, isn't misfiring and the fuel tank is over half full. Any ideas...
