My micra has 190,000 km on the counter and does a funny noise as well, like a rattling noise for about 2-3 seconds when i start up with a cold engine. this is not everytime now though... I changed the oil (had not done it since 10,000 km) and now I wait a litle before turning the engine off...

you guys talking of a 1.3l or 1.0 l micra... its makes all the difference... mine, a 1.0l micra does around 6.5l/100 km. I agree with LWC about the throttle... it does make a big difference on the fuel consumption

well there are 2 ways u can improve your air intake..you can either buy a panel filter which would replace the original filter you already have in the car...you can get a k & n one for eg...the good thing abt it is that you don't have to make big mods to instal it and the results are quite...

have you tried the car wiz the new filter? how does it feel?.... any power gain? how does it sound? louder or as before?

Hi guys... i'm actually looking for alloys to fit my micra and was wondering about the weight of the rims i could find on the market.. does anyone know the weight of standard steel rims that come with the micra for comparison?... how much weight gain can i get from lighter rims?

my fuel consumption is between 6.3 & 7 litres per 100km... for a 1.0l micra... it would be useful to know whether we r talking abt 1.0l or 1.3l models....

talkin of lightweight.... does anyone know what's the weight of the original steel rims on the micra.... i was looking for alloy rims and fell over one weighing 7.4 kg....feels heavy to me.....
