Hi thanks the car is definitely a manual from factory, I’ll see if I can get a test bulb tomora from local screwfix or similar it’s a bog standard micra so no luxurious such as parking sensors I’m afraid (would be less dents in the bumper if it had)

Thought I’d come back to this I replaced the switch again but I still get the error p1706 , I get no power to the rear reverse bulb when the car is in reverse can’t find any more damaged wires so kinda run out of ideas now as to ware to look , is there any relays that the signal is sent threw ...

Not the actual lense but the bulb holder bit that clips into the rear as the wife’s unit is broken as close to B98 as possible or able to post to me

Sparky that’s perfect dude nice one ? and yes new switch was the first things that was replaced along With some damaged loom rubbing on drive shaft that’s been fixed

Side lights are all sorted turns out the fuse was part blown so would get a reading but now power up note to self in future remove fuses to check them ?. but still don’t have any power going to reverse light fuse is 100% good brand new switch fitted but no power to the rear wiring in the plug

It’s a 3 door buddy but I will look into removed all the boot trim to see ware the wires run

Right it’s all fixed a believe it or not a wire / pin had come out the fuse board under the dash stopping it from cranking but I now have new issue so I’ll post them separately

that’s what I think too I’m thinking the Nissan immobiliser system cuts this signal as it don’t cut the fuel pump as I can drive the car round fine once bump started , so I think while the battery was disconnected the car has lost its immobiliser sync does this sound plausible??

I’ll add iv removed the key sensor off the ignition and if I turn it to the spring back position I get good continuity across terminals IG1 and S in the final position so from reading on line the ignition switch is good anyone confirm this??

Right iv checked all my fuses and they are all ok I can physically jump start the car by adding a 12v feed direct to the starter motor so I think it could be immoberlizer issue or key switch ???
