Whining noise when accelerating! Please Help!

Hey guys, so i drive a 1995 nissan micra 1.3SLX and for a while there has been a whining noise but it was hardly recognizable, two days ago the noise became louder and louder and now its really loud, Does anyone know what it could be? Thanks!

are you driving round with your misses? this may be where the whining sound is coming from

on serious note is it coming from wheels? if so may be a bearing. or engine bay may be gearbox? or could just be something simple

Try getting up to speed then put the car in neutral see if the whine is still there? does it happen in all gears? does it increase with speed? is it on power or on cruise or both?

Perhaps check how much oil the gearbox has?

It's coming from the engine, ive noticed today that at about 40mph i cant hear it, only when im pulling off and it changes gear, checked the oil and its fine
