Anyone know any repectable aussie forums/websites with info for mountain biking, local places to ride. Want to get away from these computers, get reasonably fit before its too late and life has passed, since highschool i have done no exercise, lol can barely get through 10 pushups. Did allot of riding bikes as a young fella, craving to go down some severly contoured hills at interesting speeds.

yeh, so some info on selecting a bike. Places to ride + forum...cheers all

Head down to Newcastle and visit Glenrock lagoon, Killingworth and Jesmond.

My old training and racing grounds. Some top spots there mate.

Amazing how many people were on pushies crossing the Nullarbor, a little extreme for you Alex, I'm sure, but just thought I'd mention it. We talked to one fella who said it took him a day to go the distance that we could do in an hour or so. He had to carry around 10 litres of water with him all the time, as there is no water out there for drinking.
I know people enjoy getting out in the great outdoors, but if I was going to do it I think I'd like it a little more civilised than the Nullarbor Plain.
