Going for a Re-Spray soon, I hope, looking for good quotes an good work.

Hi,

So soon I think I want to get my micra re-sprayed and have some dents fixed, so I've started looking around for some places close to home that can do a good job. I live in Derbyshire, and can get into Nottinghamshire very easily by simply walking down to the bottom of my street and jumping over a stream lol.

So far I have found one local place, 4miles away from me http://www.autobodytec.co.uk/services.html

Their work looks good, and I'm going to go in and get a quote when I have chance. If anyone who lives around Derby or Nottingham, and knows places that have done a great job please let me know. Like wise if I find some good deals and evidence of great previous work, I'll post them up for anyone currently looking.

Sounds good! One rule with paying for a re-spray though; Its generally you get what you pay for.

If your only willing to pay say £200ish then dont expect a quality job. Bare in mind people pay thousands for a top quality paint job!

Helps if you do all the prep yourself aswell. i.e. sanding, masking ect.

Be interesting to see the quote you get though!

Hey thanks for the heads up, I think I've read something similar in another post, possible from you I can't remember though. I have a friend who did all his own work on a Golf, looked very very good, I'm going to ask him for a quote he may take the work.

I think my budget may be between £500 - £1000, it all depends on how much I can save over the next 6month to a year, and how much over time is avalaible at work during the summer, since I'm a student I only work part time to cover my insurance, tax, stupid fuel bills and a few pints week of course.
