Back Breaks Locking

Hi,

I have recently noticed that the back breaks on my micra seem to be locking after it has been parked on the hand break for a period of time. This locking seems to unlock once I force the car to move with the engine. I was wondering if anyone might suggest the cause of this.

its just a buildup of snot on the shoes and drums chris, a deglaze of the shoes and a clean and adjust will cure it, you will probably find the cylinders are weeping too, (our last 4 k11,s have weeped, and i,ll buy some new ones one day lol)

this cold icy weather also tends to freeze the rear pads/shoe onto the disc/drum when you use the handbrake. when parking i tend to put it in 1st gear without handbrake after stopping the engine
