Anyone tried Unlocking Radio code CD ?

I have lost the code to my Micra Radio,ha changed battery,Did not think until too late.
Has anyone tried the Unlocking software sold on Ebay ?.
I asume they are legal as it would be easy to track them down and they seem to have sold quite a few.

I have 'used' the code unlocking software, I dont know how that fits in with the rules, so best to go to Nissan
