Hi guys, Taken my micra (1999 k11) in for its wheels tracked today and the garage advised me that both my front drops links had gone. They quoted me £30 per side to get them replaced, this a decent price? I dont really fancy doing them myself due to everything being as rusty as hell down...

Im trying to replace the seal on the drive shaft as well, i have a leak that looks to be coming from the passenger side shaft. I had a look at it the other day and wasnt really sure where to start with removing the shaft, there looked to be a big rubber housing over the connection, does that...

yeh, that what i thought, but then the light actually works when i manually turn it on with the switch. so it cant be the fuse can it?

To replace this do i have to drain the gear box oil? and does the drive shaft just unbolt and push off or something? cheers! Dave

hi all, My interior light isnt working, well, it is, but not when i open the door! ive checked the pressure switch on the door piller and that seems to be doing its job and springing in and out. any one got any ideas what the problem might be? its the same on both doors. thanks! Dave

Thanks a lot for all your help so far mark! right im going to clean the gearbox up and try and find out where the leak is coming from. If the diff seal has gone, should i be able to see the leak coming from there then? Do you know roughly how much these are usually to replace at a garage...

thanks mark, yeh i think the first step is maybe to pressure wash and clean all the oil off and trace the leak. its pretty hard to get into 3rd from 2nd and from 5th, it doesnt crunch. I have just fixed the return spring on the box but it still doesnt seem to want to 'spring' into the middle...
