It's a 2000 W-reg not too old. But I think I can live with it. Like I've said in my other thread, I think the last owner totally ragged the ass off this car! :(

Hi, I get a rattle when I start the engine on my W-reg Micra 1.0 Profile. It usually stops after the engine has been idle for a few minutes. Any ideas? I think the last owner truly ragged this Micra as it's done 105K miles already and not had a service since 2005.

Is it normal to be able to pull the ignition key out while the engine is running?

Seller has told me it has service history and lots of receipts for oil changes and servicing and 8 old MOTs. Also says there is no smoke or rattles and that it's been well maintained. It was the high mileage and cam belt stuff which got me thinking.
