I assume you mean changing the springs over, when fitting lowering springs you don't need to touch the shock absorbers. Its as simple as pulling the old ones out and sliding the new ones in. Spring compressors will help but aren't vital.

All ive changed on mine is the backbox and it isnt loud at all until the cats have heated up which takes a while depending on how you are driving it.

yea im not after any performance, i havnt got enough money to get some decent gains, or even any that i would notice :p, but i want my car louder from cold as it takes a while to heat up and sound nice, but then again i dont want it too loud and to attract the police lol.
