same issue myself, try'd hitting edject lots of times and did release ( to slow to catch disc ), used flat nose plyers and scizzors, like above it seems to play and do what it wants when it wants.... replace if and as soon as you can.... the cd not the car... well the issue list with my growing...

wifes 04 with 34k has same issue with bearing, also eats pads and disks, seat wearing away badly, trim loose, SHOCKING tyre prices and wipper prices.... mass run around car i think not.... never had an opinion of nissan before wife's micra, think i shall revert to using DATSUN....
