I wouldn't say the whole job was easy. The auto gear knob off was the easy bit once you know how (thanks). It's struggle to get the centre console out mainly because the handbrake gets in the way but a bit of a shove and it comes out. Also the rear bolt for the arm rest is almost impossible...

Yep once the clip is out the Auto knob comes off complete. It's a bit fiddly getting the clip back in and tucked in so the sleeve slides fully up.

I had an issue with a system stop/start fault and the car went into limp mode. I suspect the battery. I’ve charged it fully with a smart charger and haven’t had a repeat. Not saying it is that but many people have blamed a low battery charge. Some say the original batteries are not up to the job.

York - your right, I had a look and the bottom plastic bit pulls down (not the silver bit) and at the back there is a clip. I haven't pulled the clip yet because I'm not ready to install the armrest. Thanks for setting me on the right track. I'll report on the install when complete in a week...

I can't see how to remove the gear lever trim on an automatic. You'd have to remove the knob with all it's push button gear.

I’m a K14 owner and would also like to know how to fit a OEM armrest. And I’m far from posh.

All on-line. If you email Nissan Customer services they will give you Mileage and Date serviced. You will have to give proof of ownership.
