Hi You reckon you can access the bottom end without taking seats out etc?

Thanks - sadly ours are covered in white grease (blame dad!). Does that end unclip somehow? Is it a circlip and pin type? Impossible to see at present

Hello I am also interested in this thread. A 2007 CC and now the boot lid feels like there is no gas strut at all - quite heavy to lift up and a rattle somewhere. I guess one strut is dead, or both are, or an internal bracket is sheered off. Would be interested to hear any experiences in...
