Hey Frank, thanks mate. you're correct about checking spark, as it does not have any. My brother is pitting it on a car trailer now at bloody 11pm at night! will check dizzy, crank angle sensor tomorrow. Are there any common spark culprits with the Micra's that you suggest checking?? Cheers...

Anybody at all have an idea of what this vacuum line does and if it would stop the car starting... its the plain black one next to the striped hose next to it.
