Rat Micra new wheels and tyres...

Lots wrong with my power steering, or not as is the case, cause it's a manual rack. The Falkens on my car scrubbed in nice, serious grip, wear is looking a little on the scarey side though, very soft rubber, and I live on a very fast twisty Mt road, I'll be lucky if I see 10000kms on them.

WTB Air Vents and Super S Dash

Are yours doing what one of mine did?, it fell out (the vent), I noticed it had snapped, glued it, while gluing it just snapped in my fingers, more glue, go to fit, shatters while pushing it in... Super brittle plastics I'm guessing with no UV stabilizing on them, Australian weather not good...

    Coughing/stalling at WOT

Its the three on the right that will be dry and/or cracked, the three going into the board on the left on mine were shiny and looked fine, but you can reflow them if you think they look dull, while you have the case open which is the pain the ass part.

    Coughing/stalling at WOT

I should just follow up with, there is a place out of Taiwan who sells reman bodies on ebay, not that expensive considering, $200 ish I think, not a bad option if you don't feel like all the work.

    Coughing/stalling at WOT

There is a write up somewhere on this site, I forget where. But, short of it is, there is a plate cover on the side of the throttle body, it's sealed on with silicone, so you just dig out the silicone, carefully pry off the plate. After seeing mine, I knew exactly why it does what it does, the...

    Coughing/stalling at WOT

Sounds the like the typical dry solder joint issue on the throttle body internal plug connector, you can pop the cover and re-flow the dry joints to fix it. As to the temp, mine did the same when I got it, ran like a 1/3 temp all the time, new thermostat fixed it, either the wrong one is in it...

    decarbonize???

You can buy spray products that do a far better job, there also used to be a mobile service that did a full pro job with equipment that hooked into your fuel system and spark plugs from memory... Although, you can borderline do the same thing just by running fuel injector cleaner regularly for...

    WTB N14 Caliper large pin.

Hi guys, I got some N14 calipers for a brake upgrade on my Micra, but one of the sliding pin/bolts is totally seized up, 2 days soaking and high torque rattle gun has just stripped the bolt head... So, I know many buy rebuild kits when they upgrade theirs, but the pins in my opinion don't wear...

Quickshift - altrenative Nissan cars - Pulsar Primera etc

Not sure about the rattle, some have been saying some do, others don't, a few have come up with ways to stop the rattle, the Pulsar forums are interesting reading on that... And yeah, while fitting mine, or pre, will get a friend to bend the shaft back a fair bit, heck I'm even considering...

Geoff W's Cleanout Super Sale - Many Parts

Whiteline front bar is it? Sometimes using one of the courier services is not much more expensive than australia post, for things like bars etc anyway. I'd like it, but am in Brisbane 4520.

    Micra jerky at low speeds

I'd not fully rule out the throttle body being at fault, even with good fuel economy, those dry solder cracking issues on those pins can effect a rebuild/reman unit as much as a new unit. Also, you could be facing an issue with the dizzy, a fault with it can cause all sorts of issues, I...

    Wanted, misc suspension...

On the look out for used Whiteline bars front and rear, and possibly used Koni Reds or Yellows from back when they still made them. Micra stuff new is getting a little thin, so hoping someone in Brisbane ends up parting out something, or has it laying around. email me at...

I think my Haynes came out of the UK, locally they are stupid money, often you can find a copy though from a UK ebay seller dirt cheap.

http://www.bishopsraceblog.com/Micra/newtyres01.jpg http://www.bishopsraceblog.com/Micra/newtyres02.jpg New tyres on the wheels, looking forward to doing a brake upgrade now, hate the stock brakes. The drive home I have to say was not bad, I went 175/60R14 tyres, Falkens, steering weight is...

    Caltex Australia update

The funny thing about some fuels, is a few brands have good top level premium fuels, very few now have 91/92 that is worth a damn. BP is the classic example, their Ultimate is great, their regular is terrible (and worst economy of any fuel you can buy), and even their premium middle level fuel...

    Caltex Australia update

Wow, never saw this thread before, but interesting, mainly because I have found consistently Caltex fuel is ****, I used to like BP, but somewhere along the line all their regular range turned to ****, now I only ever buy Mobil if I can, my Micra runs smooth constantly if I stick with the Mobil.

How much would you pay for k11?

Prices were down, then bumped a little when fuel first went up a bit, then things stabilized and for a while there you could not sell a Micra for anything, with it not uncommon to see a heap floating around for around $500, now fuel is up again, and everyone knows it's staying up, anything small...
