If your fan repeatedly stops working on the first 3 settings then it's likely to be the fan unit. It causes the resistor card to burn out on the low settings. Replace the fan with one from a breakers and it should give you a few years.

Hi Anyone have any experience or video/photos of how to remove the tumbler from a K11 micra lock barrell? I need access to the tumblers and I can get the lock out but cannot remove the tumbler assembly from the inside. Thanks.

NZ - you mention these FRAM filters - do you know the part no. for a K11 1000cc? Does anyone know if you can buy these in the UK?

Thanks everyone. Have replaced the fan with one from a breakers (£16) and so far it's working ok. I did try and clean up the old one and oil the bearings but it kept blowing fuses.

Thanks fred. I've already changed that and it's still blowing it and the 15amp fuse when on full speed - do you think the fan is drawing too many amps?

Anyone got any ideas? we're due a ton of cold weather here in UK next week so would like to get this sorted. thanks from a very cold Brit!

Hi Have a 1994 Micra 1.0 CVT. The heater blower fan failed 3 months ago so after reading the advice on here I repaired the resistor card and oiled the fan bearing. It has started playing up again with the resistor card getting very hot (should it get too hot to touch?) and blowing the 15 Amp...
