I lost my key, hotwired it but now have battery problems

Ok, I have come to the conclusion that it is perhaps related to the starter motor, as talked about here: https://micra.org.uk/cmf/message/17504 I disconnected all my wiring so that there was no chance that it was shorting. Did a full recharge, left it overnight and it wont start, but the...

I lost my key, hotwired it but now have battery problems

The switch to set it to an "on" position before starting wasn't left on, I flick that off to stop the engine then leave it off. However, I found the idea of having another switch for the "acc" e.g. stereo, therefore 3 switches in total, a bit messy and cumbersome so I just set the "acc" to be...

I lost my key, hotwired it but now have battery problems

Hi, I lost my key so I first hotwired it then replaced the key ignition it with flick switch for "on" and a push switch for "start" as a short term measure. This worked fine for week, but then I went to start it and the battery was flat. I tried a replacement (second hand) battery form the scrap...

Is there a miracle gearshift cure?

Thanks. I think the method you describe is something like what my grandad used to call double declutching, which he used to have to do back in 1935! :-) I will persevere at it. Really though, the whole gear shift is and was ridiculously bad and I was just wondering if anyone managed to sort...

Is there a miracle gearshift cure?

My old K11 has a gear shift (manual) that is bloody awful and was when it was new. Nissan didn't care less at the time and never fixed it, although they claimed to have done a variety of things such as changing the gearbox and replacing the oil with synthetic. I believe this is not an unusual...

Hot air through side vents only

Thanks. I suspected that it wasn't a fault, it's just that I can't say that I had noticed it before, but I have been doing a shed load of work on this car lately, and the heater blower got my attention cus the resistor corroded, so I resoldered it.It's not a problem once you realise that if you...

    Boot/Petrol Cap

You can pull the latch on the flap open by hand or tie a piece of string to it. You access it from the boot at the side if you pull out the upholstery as though you want to change the bulbs on the light fittings.

Hot air through side vents only

Hi, the heater in my K11 is only blowing hot air through the side vents by the doors, the middle two are stone cold. Any ideas what causes that? Thanks.
