Nissan CG10 DET in Austin Mini (Trinidad and Tobago)

yeah, that's why. But I've got a GT15 turbo now, which gives me ample room on high mount.

Do you have any photos of your alternator bracket, and how you relocated it?

    Turbo Positioning

I'm struggling to find a suitable location for the turbo in the engine bay, the turbo is around 7inches wide from compresor inlet to turbine outlet. If it's hung where the cat is there'll be next to no room between the alternator and the engine mount. So I'm looking at top mounting, however...

Is there any reason you didn't go for the CG13? as it's identical in size.

    Vacuum System

Hi, I was wondering what changes if any, need to be made to the K11 Vacuum system during the turbo conversion. I don't want to find out about stuff after, I'd rather sort it first ;)

    ecu?

ooops, forgot about this thread. Nice going bigchief that you got it running. I came across an e-manage blue with MAP sensor for a good price, so I'm going to be going down that route now.

    ecu?

I was doing a search around, and would I be correct that the standard ECU will be ok with no adjustments at 4psi? The car is a CG10.

    Fuel Pressure Regulators

Ok, I'm looking at every possible option for my 6-8psi turbo conversion. That is within price range, my initial stage is to just get it running with a piggy back fuel computer (Apexi SAFC2) which gives me +/- 50% at 12 user defined points in the rev range and user defined high and low...

    Fast Road Cams and turbo

I've heard they don't really go well together. http://www.fusion-motorsport.co.uk/component/page,shop.product_details/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,144/category_id,1/manufacturer_id,0/option,com_virtuemart/Itemid,28/ Those are the camshafts I have. Is it worth still using them in the turbo...

    swaping of engine cam cover

I don't see what problems it will cause, but it won't stay clean and polished for too long ;)

Where to find this type of engine stabliser?

Is it just a piston in a cylinder with gas or oil?

    Forcing and ignition timing

but the issue you have is off boost, which should be running near enough standard..... So, as I mentioned I believe your issues are elsewhere. Anyway, back on topic :)

    Forcing and ignition timing

I will be using the PLX Devices M300 Wideband Lambda http://www.plxdevices.com/M-Series_productinfo.htm so will be able to do fuel air ratio. I know it's not the proper way, but I'll be using the Apexi SAFC2 to sort my fuelling out till I can afford an E-Manage, this has 12 point adjustment...

    swaping of engine cam cover

will be the same from any CG engine :)

    Forcing and ignition timing

I should be ok with 8psi and 4 degrees retardedness :p I'll run 99 octane and we have much lower temperatures over here.

    Forcing and ignition timing

White Knight: I just read in an older thread that you're running 7psi with your timing retarded by 4 degrees. Is this retarded 4 degrees through the full rev range? i expect to produce my 6-8psi at around 3000rpm, now, I assume that's around when you produce your 7psi. What is the...

    Forcing and ignition timing

I'll be using the 1.6 Primera Injectors so the 5th injector won't be necessary. And I will be able to adjust my fuelling On a second note, I've just come across this http://www.msdignition.com/tc_18.htm

    motorbike exhaust!

not much point putting 2.5" pipe in, just match it to the rest of your system whatever that is at.
