    somebody is doing his homework (y) it's pourpoint. Not poor, like broke. ;) Timing chains like good oils an frequent changes. under normal european conditions a 5W30 is good enough for a micra, as longs as your not racing. And it helps a little bit with fuel consumption over "thicker" oils...

    now i see it. The duct taped plastic tube. Thought you lowered the airbox, to have mor space for the strut brace. I had to do it that a little bit, because one of the airbox clamps always rubbed against it, wenn the engine revved up...

    weird. Mine doesn't get below 30%. (measured with ECU-Talk; 1997 ECU wit NATS2, euro, LHD, but i think older ECUs i tested were the same) As for cables and crimping: I found "solder connectors" to be very useful. And the NC500 looks like there could be some nice rallytracks :love:

    how? isn't the throttlebodys tube in the airbox now? That might decrease Airflow more than the bigger airbox helps.

    my guess why there is an extra reservoir in the tank: if you drive hard corners and the fuel lewel is low, the fuel pumpe might suck air... which is no good neither for the fuel pump nor the engine, injectors... Look at the videp 1275 posted. the newer model had an even more closed reservoir...

    Speeduino on cg10

    looking at the possible options tha ECUtalk gives you to choose from, the smallest is 148ccm. The micra schould have the smallest from all cars of the Nissan Conzult-generation. ;) And by choosing it, i get very accurate Fuel readings. interested to see your ECU, once it works.

    well... i guess best thing you can do then is to go either as cheap as possible, and have enough money for repairs. Or go for a hogh price well serviced, clean car from a dealer with guarantee... Or you get lucky and find one from granny who had it sitting in a garage most of the time.

    do you use 2 keys? or something else on the keychain? it usually is a NATS issue. try a spare key. alone with nothing interfering.

    resetting the ecu helps alot as wll. just unplug the battery for a day.

    always check the tyre pressure for the tyre size you drive. Also test out a little what feels good. Some tyres just like more air some less.

    if just the new parts wouldn't be really low quality compared to the old original nissan parts... beware to have a spare ready when needed. my new one broke down after only 2 years.

    the tach can be easily swapped... so it's easy to change the mileage with it. (on the old prefacelift models, like the picture) Anything could have happend with the car. Ask for it's history and check for plausibilty. main problem with micras is rust. Look at the rear wheel arches inside...

    you can use engine oil instead of WD40 as well.;) of course get yourself fresh coolant and distilled water, maybe make a clean run only with water once. U have to tunr the heater to hot to get all of the coolant out. AND to bleed air after filling. IMPORTANT: get a few new hose clamps. old...

    @frank after all these years, experiments and experiences, which are your favourite cams? Or cam constellations if you are using different ones? would you stick to your advised 1.3 IN and 1.0 EX?
