    Many thanks Alin2225. Being a bit of a "tinkerer," I tend to be curious about things relating to my car and engine. I find myself wondering if sometimes things are over complicated. For instance. I run the engine with the pipes disconnected, and it didn't make the slightest bit of difference.

    Changing gear shift cables.

    After a disaster yesterday, when a gear cable broke. I managed to get it home after manualy selecting second gear and then slipping the clutch a bit. Luckily it was rush hour so I didn't need to speed along to keep up with the traffic. I have sourced a set of used cables on fleabay. (£35.00)...
