    Clear Headlights

Anyone tried toothpaste/baking soda/ 'other random household items' for cleaning headlights? Lots of stuff on youtube, haven't tried them myself.

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

Plastic rings that cover the top of each spring are broken. Anyhow, I took the car back to the local garage to double check the springs which are indeed broken :/. The 220 quid he quoted originally included springs at 60 quid each. I asked him to quote for pattern parts, said it should be 40...

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

It failed on broken springs. Im suspicious, drove 750 miles in it last week, no clunks or dodgy handling or dropped suspension. I know the plastic discs on the bottom end of the springs are broken but the springs look okay to me. When I queried the fail, the halfords bloke said they might just...

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

Yeah not a difficult job, so 140 quid for labour seems excessive even accounting for vat. The MOT was done at halfords, they quoted 252 quid. The guy i usually go to works with his son out of a small unit, word of mouth business been there for years, so thought he would be cheaper. Think I'll...

    Replace front springs 2005 160SR.

Hi. Ive been quoted 220 (!) quid to replace the front coil springs after an MOT failure. Seems a bit steep to me, the springs are about 40 quid each I believe. I'd appreciate your thoughts. Cheers

Micra K12 Rear Wiper Not Working

I know it's an old thread but I had the same problem today. Disconnected the battery for just a few seconds, all good and didnt need the radio code. :)

    Recall history

I guess you're right. Looking at the recalls listed elsewhere I dont think I'll worry too much. I can check the steering wheel bolt(s) myself and the ecu problem is unlikely to appear tbh. Think I'll just cross me fingers :)

    Micra CC

Thanks for the update. Well done in rescuing a unique motor, breaking would have been a real shame. Whatever your opinion regarding the rather feminine makeover, an automotive curiosity and head turner no doubt. I thought I had a low miles 05 160sr at 27k, 18 miles takes the prize I guess...

    Recall history

As I posted elsewhere, just bought an 05 160sr. How can I find out if the recall remedials have been carried out? The car has full history but cant see any ref to recall repairs. Would nissan have any record? Thx
