I know it's an old thread, but it's easy to remove the chip. The red (or blue) piece is a case. In the case is a small chip. Just carefully pry out the red/blue part with two small screwdrivers.

I also keep my eye on the milage. I can drive 460km. But I like to heve it working properly.

Hi, new here. I'm a Dutch K11 driver. My Micra drives on LPG. No space in the trunk, but cheap! The fuel gauge on the LPG tank is connected to the meter in my dashboard. This is kind of abnormal (normal there is a separate LED-meter for the LPG tank). The problem is that the meter works...
