Alex, Thanks! Just had a chance to check the brake light bulbs. One of them had been replaced with a single filament, probably just as a spare. All sorted now. I can't believe that something so simple could affect the side lights too. Very strange. Cheers!

I've only had the car a few days. I've just replaced the nearside front headlight, with the correct duel filament bulb. Could an old/dodgy bulb cause the issue? Any ideas on where a dodgy connection could be?

A little problem with my Micra... When the headlights are off and i press the brake pedal, the brake lights work but the side lights also come on. When the headlights are on and i press the brake pedal, the brake lights work but are very very dim, probably illegally so. I'm sure i can sort...
