    Scratch Repair

You can use an anti-silicone de-greaser, but silicone is nasty nasty stuff and tends to spread and get onto other things and can cause all kinds of contamination problems. It's definatly something I'd avoid massaging into damaged paintwork!

    Power Supply to Dizzy

Ok, So I double checked the reading today and this is what I got. Voltage across the battery was 11.6 V cause its a little flat Does this look about right? How close does the timing need to be to get it to fire, im used to vws where they'll fire up with the timing way out, and what is...

Stone Dented Bonnet, I need a new one? or fix?

Depends how picky your going to be with it really, if you touch in the stone chips it'll help take your eye off them, but its still going to be obvious that its been touched in, the only way your going to achieve a smooth even finish is to repaint the bonnet.

To rub or not to rub - Before Lacquer.

Cracks, runs and poor adhesion usually all related to problems with prep or technique. Celly is a pain in the arse to flat and polish and doesn't give as good a shine as other paints available. Never bothered with celly myself as I've always had a booth to use so gone for 2 pack.

Stone Dented Bonnet, I need a new one? or fix?

Thats a fair price for the bumper, remember if you buy a brand new one they are supplied in primer so still need painting so would work out much more expensive. With your bonnet you have a few options, unless the dents are all over or really bad a new bonnet might be an expensive way round. If...

    Bumper spraying

As above, get it fully buffed and then its a case of carefully selecting a colour match. Might even need a spectro to get it spot on, white is one of the hardest colours to match!

To rub or not to rub - Before Lacquer.

You don't actually have to guys, you can just wait for your basecoat to flash off. Obviously you want to rub down your primer (however if your using a proper set up you can mix your primer slightly thinner and use it "wet on wet" which means no rubbing, but it really depends on what job your...

    Ally Cats 13x7 13x8 on RR £350

Good price that! You'd be hard pushed to get the rubber and the blasting & powder coating done for under £250. Nearly got a set of them for my beetle back in the day.

    Scratch Repair

Mmm nice copy and paste work, and I'm guessing off a yank website? FOR GOD SAKE DON'T PUT SHOE POLISH ON YOUR PAINT WORK! It contains silicone and will make painting over the top in future a pain. Silicone is evil evil stuff that causes massive problems when repainting a car (the amount of...

    Scratch Repair

Well you see its not always possible to mix from a code, there can be several shades. As I mentioned we use a number of different brands to achieve a good match, if we're really stuck for a colour we can get a spectro in to analyse the paint and forumulate a mix. The main problem for matching...

Fuel filter change...Is is easy to do ??

Or just use some pipe clamps. I did this on the side of the road as I was 250 odd miles from home, if your really quick you don't really need to clamp the hoses. You've just got to remember the filter your taking off will still have fuel in it and might #### out everywhere when you come to...
