I get between 260-300 miles per tank out of my one litre with mixed if a little heavy driving -not bad for an old £70 r-red k11 with 92k on the clock!!
Why drain the engine oil it should just be the gearbox oil. Also if you split the driveshafts by the inner cv boots/joints ie leave the inner cv joints in gearbox you will not have to drain the gearbox =it saves all the hassle and time refilling the oil via speedo drive.I hope this helps-Jon
As regards the brake judder -does the judder get worse with increased speed and does it cause a shake throught the steering wheel? If the steering wheel shakes when braking it is the front brakes probably the discs if not try applying the handbrake slowly whilst driving at thirty mph and if you...
Any decent small private garage with a good attitude should do them for you if they are not too busy or sometimes some private parts outlets udes to make pipes up to suit but you will have to ask.As regards nipples they normally come with new cylinders nowdays but again some garages /motor...
Give the nipples a good soaking with wd 40 or similar use a good hexagon 8mm socket+ratchet to undo them coz if they snap you will need to replace the cylinder-Jon
Why bother swapping pipes when you can get them made.If you remove the pipes use a roll of string to trace the length of the pipes and get a local garage to make the pipes up to the correct length with correct brake pipe unions on them. They will probably use copper piping at around £6 per 25...
internal bore seems ok you will have to measure inside of alloy wheels & compare to outside measurement listed on e-bay they list around 76mm which sounds too large-Jon
You should be able to get them in Halfords or similar but from experience I would go to an ally wheel specialist who knows what they are about ,often places like halfords/motorworld sell wheels and fixings but have no clue what they or you are talking about-Jon
I have a set on my k11 without spigot rings and have had no problems ,I have 195/50x15 on front and 205/50x 15 tyres on the rear.I hope this helps-I have suffered a little balance problem at around 70mph which has not been cured by wheel balnc ing so it could be down to the lack of spigot rings-Jon
All the induction kit/sports filters I have seen on this forum are using a bent rubber pipe and then a straight length of alloy tube up to the sports filter.I have my sports filter mounted directly onto the throttle body top.Is there any extra benefit by using the extended inlet tract or am I ok...
