    fault codes

Yes it's back to haunt me. I thought I had cured it with my previous fix. It has been fine since then, from what I have been reading today it seems it could be anything from corrosion to damaged wiring or dodgy fuses etc. I have cleared the fault codes with ecutalk and will try and investigate...

    fault code readers

Hi I have a problem with the obd light. I bought a code reader but that didn't fit the nissan socket so I got a consult adaptor and cable to connect to my laptop. The problem I am having is the consult programme that came with it will not run, does anybody have a link to a download for it or...

    Urgent nats help

I have taken some pictures of the dismantled ring showing the circuitboard, housing & ring do the chips on the board store the code and the copper ring act as an antenna for reading the chip in the key(sorry having trouble downloading pictures)

    Urgent nats help

So is it right to assume that the code is stored on the chip on the circuit board within the ring housing and that the actual ring acts just as an antenna (it appears to be a copper wire winding)? If so then maybe my idea of changing the complete board and wiring could work. I am tying to get a...

    Urgent nats help

Hi sorry to jump in but i am having the same problem. I decided that as the antenna was broken any way to open it up to see if it could be soldered. When i opened the back the wires go to a circuit board which un-plugs from the ring and can be removed from the housing. If i got a replacement...

    fault codes 141 & 145

I think this is the problem, just took it off an as i was removing it it came apart. It looks like the ring is connected by two very thin wires to the black plastic housing but you can remove the circuit board inside complete so i am wondering if i get another, could i just change the circuit...

    fault codes 141 & 145

Will do that thanks frank but i was wondering where i would get a replacement if it was damaged or what to look for damage wise as it seems that if i replace it with a second hand one i will have to get it re-coded at nissan. Your help has been much apreciated.
