No problem. Yeah that's right black to black and yellow. The other black is a ground too but it never connected to anything on mine. Looking at the wiring diagram it is another ground but seems it's not needed

Looks like you've got the orange and green constant buddy so that goes to the yellow from the back of your CD player (if it's yellow) it's usually yellow on the universally coloured iso harnesses

The thicker blue wire...
Four wires on the left of the plug in your first photo
Red+white - illumination
Brown - 12v ignition
Black+yellow - ground
Black - ground
Four wires on the right of your first photo is for speakers.
What is missing is a 12v constant. My guess is the original radio had a mechanical tuning knob...
That's interesting, I'll definitely keep that in mind when reassembling thanks. I'll have to see how they line up with the chains back on. Are the slotted sprockets something you engineered yourself? If you have a write up I'd be keen to have a read.

After having purchased a timing chain kit for a cg13, I went through all of the bits comparing them to the parts I've pulled off. My concern is the crank chain sprocket doesn't match, and i am worrying that the timing is going to be off. Just wanted to get a second opinion before I buy another...
Took my k10 to a mechanic to set the timing. Found that the vacuum on the dizzy isn't working so have ordered a replacement. He also checked the O2 and claimed that it is running rich. He wanted to adjust the mixture screw on the side of the carb, but didn't have the correct tool. I know these...
Thanks. I had never intended on doing this much to it, I just wanted to drive it. But it was clear the HG was on its way out. Points/dizzy cap, rotor n leads.
