timpsons copied the key on my mazda mx6, that had built in chip for the immobiliser. worked fine

i had a similar problem with a different car, was the cold start thermostat for some reason. have also heard about the timing being out due to slipping causing it to fire at the wrong time. not sure if this can happen with a chain though.

on 2 previous cars i've had k&n filters, no problems at all. also had an apexi. over 4 years and on 2 different mr2 turbos i had a metal blitz filter for about 6 months, then ran the k&n for 3 1/2 years no problems at all. the other mr2 turbo ran an apexi with no problems at all. a k&n also...

it's a 10 or 15 amp one in the engine bay. left hand side of the fuse box. it's the fuse closest to the firewall
