Hi guys How do i go about tightening the power steering belt on my 99 reg micra? The belt is slipping but weirdly only when the engine temp is cold :/ Could anyone tell me which bolt/ bracket needs moving to adjust it many thanks.

thanks for all your help so far. ive had a look at the car and the odd thing i can see is that there is a boot missing from the gearbox end of the driveshaft. :S the other side has one. Do you think this could be the cause? thanks

How would i check that? take wheel off and rock it back and too? cheers.

hi noticed a knocking noise comng from the front right. it happens when driving along the CV joints are fine so cant be that. any ideas please? it does it when i rock the wheel forwards and backwards (in and out) thanks

yes apologoies for that. I havent checked the rubbers yet be the weekend. I've also discovered it likes to crunch the gears. its happened twice now 4th and 2nd gears i pretty sure it not me could, this be connected. Cheers.

Ok is it 2 rubbers where abouts are they? are they near the gear box or linkages? cheers.

i can push it down but not much about 1cm. is this a big problem?
