I have a service kit that I no longer need: Wix oil, air and fuel filters, plus a set of plugs - all unused and in boxes. Any offers, or collect in Bristol.

I think it's now realistically beyond saving again, so I am debating to scrap my Micra (rather than trade it in). The front rot is severe, the tyres worn and the engine struggles with the emissions, so is there enough demand for bits? Collect - Bristol.

Discovered the inevitable truth: the filler masked the severe rot in the front cross member. With lots of other niggles and bills looming before the MoT, I can't help it now. Time to say goodbye. :(

Today my Vibe failed the MoT with shot sills. (Sound familiar?) Tomorrow will be spent doing some serious investigations and weighing up the choice of breaking for spares. Rats.:(

Technical question: are the bolt-on shrouds that sit over the rear spring mounts in the wheel arches structurally important? Both of mine have some/lots of rot and I have an MoT coming up. Thanks for your replies.

Cheers SuperUno, They do (did) work without ignition on. Why they don't now is puzzling me. The Haynes manual shows a feed from the ignition relay - permanent, via white/red wire - that goes through Fuse F5 and on to the pedal switch. And there isn't a fuse in that slot!o_O There should be a...

Further to the new driveshaft/front dampers and the welding done this week, my little rattle box has failed the MoT on brakes. Took out the right rear cable and found it's as stiff as a dead dog's d***. Ho hum....
