I have just fitted some fog lights from a higher spec car than mine (to my Micra s from a Micra sport+) and everything works fine except for the dashboard light when they’re on. I have tried fitting bulbs into the place where it is supposed to be but there is no difference.
There is a panel...
Thanks everyone for the replies. I’ve managed to find them, they’re called MP02 bulbs which are 3mm in width and 8mm in length.
Obviously they can’t be bought singly and I now have lots of them left over so if anyone does need any, let me know and we can sort something out
Those first ones are very similar. They are 4mm wide and around 10mm long if I remember right so they’re just a bit small but not a million miles away. Would they have to be 12v? I presume they would be, a lot of them Seem to be 6v on eBay.
Does anyone know where I can find the small bulb that illuminates the hazard switch and heated rear screen switch? I believe they’re called grain of wheat bulbs but I can’t find them anywhere.
I’d appreciate any help with this
True, you can adjust the throttle cable to alter the idle but I would strongly advise the op against it as it can cause over/under revving and stalling due to the throttle never closing as you mentioned.
For the benefit of vinvindan, this is the Idle actuator control valve which will need to be...
That’s interesting to hear, you don’t normally hear of those failing.
I did try to find a replacement stepper motor for my throttle body just to check if it made a difference to the running of the car. I couldn’t find one either even when typing the part number in, they must not make them...
It may be worth taking the throttle body off the car and giving it a good clean as this is a common cause of a rough idle. Certainly worked for me and it’s cheap to do, just the price of a can of carburettor cleaner.
That’s what I thought you meant but I wasn’t sure :).
If you have an old toothbrush or something similar then that would help with the cleaning, concentrate on inside the throttle body housing beneath the mesh and plastic filters and by the butterfly valve where it’s hard to get to when not off...
I’m not quite sure what you mean by ‘miss’ addamf16 but it is possible that the other two sensors could cause idle issues.
If you are confident in removing the throttle body from the car, removing the sensors from it and thoroughly cleaning everything with carburettor cleaner, I would highly...
