no offence to micra lovers but the dipsticks on 1.0 2000 models suck...lol it just dosent give a reading at all ... but go oil on it in random places, whats the typical amount of oil any of you would put in? sounds silly but im just bein careful:laugh:

oh i c it all works when its off thou?? iv clicked the spring type clips over the pins on the y shaped arm that goes round the bearing and it moves freely but gets locked up as soon as i fit it cheers for reply il have another go tomora

as above fitting new engine in mates micra and went to put gearbox back on, out of car ,got it all bolted up and noticed clutch arm on box was locked ,so took it off and noticed id knocked it off the pivot pins. put it all back on and was still jammed. even tried it on old engine too see...
