Ok thanks for your help, I guess it makes sense just to find another pre facelift 1.0 box rather than go through the hassle of changing the bits and pieces to get the new box in!

Well the gearbox came from an R reg car so i 'm not sure if thats a face lift or not? I did look at the speedo drive gear on the new box and it its a different sized cog to my 93 box?

Hey guys, first post!! I have used the search function for the answers here, but cant find the right info! I'm looking to change the gearbox on my micra, the car is a 1993 k11 1.0, and replacement gearbox I have is from a 1998 k11 1.0, will this combination work? Am i correct in thinking...
