Thanks everyone, just picked up some new generic ones that are exactly the same size for $30 each from supercheap. Now the damn thing nearly takes my head off everytime I open it, and my partner struggles to close it, but its better than the alternative. Cheers.

Hi Guys, The struts on my hatch (96 lx) have died and I'm wondering if its easy/possible to replace them and do they need to be nissan ones? Has anyone done this, and has anyone got any idea where i can get replacements from? I'm in Adelaide. Cheers.
