check if your interior light is still working, you may have blown the fuse for this which is also linked with your constant power of your radio and memory for the dash clock. if you have no cigarette lighter then you have blown the accessories power fuse. if these are both ok then perhaps check...

we repair a lot of cars at work with melted fuse boxes for headlights mainly due to dodgy headlight globes promising bright white or ultra blue vision, they can also burn the lenses in some cases. as for fixing you may have to run a separate in-line fuse holder if it has done too much damage.

has the car got an immobiliser fitted? something sounds very shonky there indeed. the radio and clock going off seems like the dome light fuse is intermittently losing power, as for the engine cutting out at the same time? unless the whole car is losing power from a bad earth or the immobiliser...

what were the model numbers of the gear they were quoting you on? i work at a car audio store in wa which stocks pioneer and 600$ fitted for deck, fronts, amp and wiring kit fitted seems pretty reasonable

ive fitted an aftermarket hid xenon kit to my lx and they work awesome. we stock them at my work however they are not cheap. they are rated at 35w so use half the power of conventional globes and are around 4 times as bright and also crystal clear white!

hey rocket sounds like the earth from your cd player has been connected to the illumination wire from factory micra loom, disconnect this and earth the cd player out to the body of the car as there's not one located in factory loom, then replace your blown fuse and should be sweet
