I didn't buy it from Nissan I bought it from an independent garage - believe it or not it had been a motability car before I got it. I've had it serviced by Nissan since I had it but because the independent garage serviced it before I bought it Nissan ate saying not their problem.

I did I sent them an email and they were good enough to call me and explain in basic speak that I could understand. :) They obviously told me that the part is licenced to the originator so only available from Nissan when I told him I knew that but couldn't pay them the £2.5k they wanted for it...
