I finally managed to receive the second pair of bushes today, after Frank sent me a second one in signed for, after the first being stolen and never reached their destination.

I also received the gasket for the exhaust manifold, but... those dumbass from Oscaro only sent me one gasket, instead of the two I've ordered... I'm so pissed off, so much bad luck; so much money wasted ...

Big updates!
I finally managed to gather and receive all the gears just in time, on the last friday (I booked a garage on monday 12th of march), despite of the thefts, the parcels lost, and the mistake about the gasket order Oscaro made. They refunded me the second one.
The short shifter seller also accepted to refund me the first one on my resquest, because the 2nd one they sent was also opened like the first one when delivered, because of the gear stick which was not secured or wrapped inside the parcel, so during the postage trip it created a hole through the cardbox...and was about to go outside once more...

Not smart at all for a pro seller... The seller name on eBay is "TT Motor"... I can't recommend them at all, tho they shipped the items quickly.

So with everything at home I prepared stuff inside the boot on sunday evening because the appointement was at 9 in the morning, so I had to leave early; before trafic rush.

Outside the garage (jdm car specialist), familly meeting :
EDIT%2520CAR-81.PNG

Results when driving: throttles are better, the engine clearly revs better and much freely, and lowering enhance the car grip during corner, I was a bit worrying about the harshness of the ride, but it's not at all, just a bit firmier and a lot less boaty.
Also it's funny when you get outside the car the first time, weird sensation when you put your foot on the ground "it miss some centimeters?? f^ck yeah!! :D"
Short shifting is also really pleasing, another cheap mod which worth the bucks.

I really want to thank Frank and Stani for their patience and all the explanations they gave me ! You can go deal with them eyes closed. Nice and reliable mates ! Frankspeed manifold and bushes are awesome, the guys from the garage were amazed by all that smartness.

Nice work there Seb! You'll love those springs, when I had my 35mm Spax fitted to my K11, I took a good 2 hours getting the 5 miles home :D.

The car is looking quality Seb :D Feels awesome seeing another wicked black SR.

Really want your manifold :p

Thanks mates, I will go to a proper shooting session tonight.

Nice work mate. The short-shifter feeling is good?
The quick shifting is awesome, it should come stock with the car !

Get the grinder out. A cat could sleep in that arch gap.
Nah. The ride height is perfect like this for daily driving, and it's still practical when the city you live in is full of big speedbumps, also it's a stealh mod that most of people will not notice and keep the look of the car stock while getting ride of the annoying boaty feeling.

Too bad the price of the liter here has reached +2euros...

Thanks Mark, right that's the kind of car you like, vintage, low with awesome alloys and madly streched tyres :p I hoped to have a ride inside but instead they offered me a ride in the 350Z

They see me whorin', they hatin'... because it's too black and shiny, because it's too black and shiny...

What you see on the side of the car is not dull pastic bump strips at all :)
Those are stock "Stars cup" stickers (with the same kind of checkered race as my avatar) stuck just above painted bump strips.
And there is no way I remove them :p

Great progress, Seb! Well done!

Did the "Low" virus catch you too? As soon as I lowered 35mm mine I was like: I should have gone 50-60 the least lol
Now I dream about coil set all around :):)

Petrol is scary. When mine was new I could brim it for about £37, it's now about £56. In 6 years !

Thank you, but I really can't go any lower with the local massive speedbumps Penyo.

Car looks great seb! Whats next? :)
The next step will surely be rear cat removal Stani, I posted in the wanted section for a replacement pipe but still no offers.

I'm also planning to book a track day, but Bag told me I should get some 14" alloys before, because 13" are too tiny and don't offer enought grip during bends.

So for now I stay calm and keep on whoring :p

So you sold the 1.0 and bought a 1.3, right?

the car is very nice, never seen your rims before; it's a real super-s?

anyway, next steps? maybe lowering?

Yes this is a real Super S / #G , call here in France "Stars Cup". I want to keep it as stock as possible so no mods planned !

and you said :p

LOL

Anyway grats for your works!!!

one question: that exhaust manifold gives some improvement? does it fit with air conditioning? and you have to remap the ecu?

Thank you Sunburn
The bodywork is still OEM, no aftermarket parts such as big exhaust, shiny alloys :p You trollers :D
When I had the 1.0L I also said that I would never buy a black car again, eeeeeeerm, well:rolleyes:

And yes, the manifold + first cat removal gives really good improvements, even my dad noticed it today while driving the car. The manifold fits with aircon because it takes exactly the same size as the heat cover still fits.
Pros are that you don't have to buy a whole janspeed/loyd exhaust line, it's perfectly stealth when you open your bonnet, you can keep or ditch the cat; and you still can fit the lambda with the stock wiring. Go grab one from the Boss!

I like it Seb, nice clean stock(ish) example that could almost be concorse :) admittedly there are nicer oem alloys you could go for even in 14's

Thet look good but It's so hard to find OEM alloys by 4 :( I think I'm going to buy some cheap spare BMW E30 14" for trackday

Today I tried to do a 0 to 60 MPH run to measure the real gains offered by the custom Fspeed manifold and the first cat replacement.
I used this Android app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.unnull.apps.carperformancefree
It gave me 9.59sec but it may be a biiiiit too optimistic, I would say real result is more close to 10sec.

Funny thing is that when I ended the run, there was a cop car with rotating flashing blue light, I thought they were waiting for me but they were already busy with a "customer" :D

Nothing special these days. Gave the car a full fluids/filters servicing few weeks ago.
The screw holding the airbox broke, it was a pain in the harsh to remove it because the lower threading part stayed stuck:
Zw5fpl.jpg

So I seeked for a similar screw in ther garage and found this one:
44nH6l.jpg

Otherwise I bought a 808#16 key camera which records in720P and a 15mm eye fish lens to do some awesome DIY camera mod:

I booked a trackday trial, so I will try to record it. I seeked and measured for some mouting spots on the car (the cam is 50mm (L) x 32mm (W) x13mm (H)) it will be hold by two pieces of velcro, one stuck on the car and one stuck onb the cam.
First I thought about this place on the bumper:
E8YMPl.jpg

But I would have to put some glue on the bumper paint that would leave a trace, or I'll have to leave the empty velcro piece stuck which will look dumb. Good location but not a good option.

So I watched under the tow hook and it's just 14mm, under it so I will stick the velcro square centered under the tow hook like this:
khaob.jpg

Speaking about the tow hook it's badly rusty, I will have to treat it quickly :
J4sXll.jpg

lol Will

Today I made some progress on my handmade mini camera mount:
Cutted 3 pieces off a 3mm polyurethane sheet and found some velcro:
20120409130545204.jpg

Then I glued the 3pieces together, painted it in black with an old touch up pen and glued the velcro on it:
20120409140658417.jpg

20120409144548833.jpg

Then I stuck under the bumper removable plastic part the velcro bit wich will hold the mount:
20120409152824622.jpg

How it looks with the mount on the car:
20120409153244686.jpg

It seems to hold well, but I'll secure it with someting, maybe I'll drill 2 holes on each side of the mount to put 2 bolts and spacers.

Mnom Mnom Mnom
:D

McKenzie is top bloke, fast shipping and item as described, you cant go wrong dealing with him !

Bit of an update:
-I edited a quick video of the track session:

-I also fitted the Nismo grill I bought from McKenziecz:
2012-04-11_17-57-23_492.jpg

but first I had to prepare it:
I removed the old aluminium mesh, removed the mix of polyester resin and glue which was holding it with a dremel:
2012-05-07_14-48-27_493.jpg

degreased it with ton of acetone:
2012-05-07_14-54-23_137.jpg

I fixed a crack which was making the left side of the grill a bit weak with polyester resind:
2012-05-08_15-53-34_39.jpg

I also tried to fill the few holes/strokes with some mastic:
2012-05-07_14-47-53_121.jpg

Then sanded it with big sandpaper and then with wetsanding:

2012-05-08_15-53-43_472.jpg

Then I was seeking a cheap body shop repairer to paint it in KH3 BLACK. The first I went was asking for 80euros - yes you read well, 80.damn.euros. Ok goodbye.
Then I went into several car shops to buy spray cans, but between the primer, paint and varnish, but the cheapest I found on internet was 35euros from a German seller on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/Motip-46830-Auto...860?pt=Autopflege_Wartung&hash=item337597c964
local shops were 15euros by can so 45euros in total, a bit too much and result would not have been as good as gun paint from body repairer.

Then I remembered the body repairer I went exactly two years ago to paint a green grill for my 1.0: http://www.micra.org.uk/threads/seb-black-1-0-devil-car.33073/page-2#post-403183
Was a bit far but worthy, the boss was there and asked me only 20euros, exactly the same price as 2 years ago. Cheaper and better result than cans. Deal.
Fitted it straight when I came back home:
2012-05-11_18-02-47_649.jpg

I folded that kind of black aluminium mesh I bought years ago on ebay :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Alu...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item336eb224f5 with a big flat iron rule and then hot glued it all around.

Fitted it in the end :
2012-05-11_19-53-09_743.jpg

:D

Yesterday I gave inside the bonnet a good clean because when I went to the track I drove on mud roads (LOT of fun and slidings, shame I didn't recorded !):
2012-05-17_12-34-08_397.jpg

2012-05-17_12-34-41_779.jpg

I also wanted to swap the airbox with a japanese March one from McKenziecz in order to swap the air intake (the japanese doesn't have the side resonator) but I discovered they weren't exactly the same (different shape, different lenght)
2012-05-17_12-22-43_584.jpg

So in the end I only took the sticker saying the pcv filter must be changed every 60000km:
2012-05-17_12-55-39_91.jpg

It adds 25JDM HP I heard.

It's been almost a month since I ran the car for the last time, I don't think it's good for some parts so yesterday with the nice weather I decided to go for a little country trip this morning, just for the pleasure of driving.
It was the first time I drove it since I've fitted the Nismo grill, and I've noticed that people looks more at the car and wonders what model is it, especially when I'm stopping at stop or red lights :D

Thank you Guy, I'm just wondering if I should fit a Nismo emblem or leave it without as it is

Won that arm rest (around 35euros + shipping) :
yasnao71-img600x450-1334995314fwu1nc67575.jpg

Can't wait to fit it to Drive Like a bawwss ! I hope I will not have trouble since it's designed for right side driving cars !

I worry a bit because for example the gearstick plastic base surrounds is not exactly the same on a RH and on a LH car, I tried to replace it when I had the 1.0 low specs with one from UK and it was not fitting good ;)
