Widest tyres on a 5j rim?

As the title says really, what's the widest tyre you can possibly fit on a 5j. I thought it didn't matter but was told the minimum was a 145 so wondered what the max was, frank, you probably know this lol

fraid not ols :grinning: i can remember having 205,s on the back of my austin healey sprite tho (5, 1/2 j 13)
you could probably fit any width tyre, you just would get uneven wear (ie, a bald patch in the middle)

get some 235 60 on would look 4x4 ish tho lol

It's only for the back so 4x4 ish would look good lol
