The problem is really getting worse

This aweful agressive catapulting.

We went for a drive last night and it was fine all the way up to the location we visited, on the way back it played up big time, eventually i couldnt shake it off by going up the gears and keeping the revs low.

Something is possibly being choked but i am Mechanically thick despite having my haynes i don't have the tools after reading it.

1) " clean the carbarettor " i cant get to it.
2) " change the fuel filter " again, i wouldnt know how to locate it.
3) " test the plug leads when the car is running " is this safe?

Is anyone local to Chester?

I am willing to drive up to meet someone who may be able to help?

cheers.

Your car has a throttle body, not a carb! What haynes manual do you have? lol. Also, the haynes will tell you where the fuel filter is.

You can remove leads whilst the car is running, and the engine should make a different sound. If there's no change, there's something up.

micro lew

a better description would help!
do you mean, a bad missfire at full throttle that goes at part throttle ?
