Starter motor sticking?

Hi

I've just bought a 2007 k12 nissan micra, everything fine but when starting it makes a noise after engine kicks in that sounds like the starter is engaging again? When the car has warmed up it doesn't seem to do it as much. The car starts fine by the way. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if it was the starter or ignition switch problem
it could be either, ignition switches are a known issue on the k11, not sure about the k12

Worst comes to worst you can fit a new starter motor for around £70. Ignition switch can be a bit more tricky, depending if it's the barrel or the electronics that's causing the sticking - there are some threads around about sorting the ignition switch issue by just cleaning it up a bit

If the problem isn't as bad when it's warm, it sounds like the heat is thinning up the contaminated bits
